So, what have I been up to? I've been satisfying a 'heart' fetish! Heart motifs have always captured my heart (ahem), but all of a sudden I'm obsessed with them.
The pattern for these little cuties are from Skip To My Lou |
I made a bunch of these little hearts, at first, not really knowing what would become of them. Then I found 9 ft. bead garlands at my local drugstore at the beautiful post-holiday price of $0.49. |
So after all my little hearts are edged, they will complete their life on a sweet beaded garland for Valentine's Day. |
More hearts... did I mention I was obsessed? Or maybe possessed?! This pattern is borrowed from Bella Dia. These are a little bigger than the red hearts so I think I'll make them into little pillows with felt backing. |
How nice to venture out again! Thanks for indulging me.
Enjoy your day and follow your heart :-)
Wow! Your hearts are really sweet! The bead garlands look great too! Thanks for sharing the pattern!

Hi Josie! LOVE all the hearts you made!! I like those little ones from "skip to my lou" so much, I might add those to go with the bigger ones I made... OR just start another garland! (You really can't have too many, can you?!.. Nahhhhhh!) Love that beaded garland you found!! I don't know if I can find any like that left around here. If not, I may just glue together some Valentine candy, much like I did with the Christmas peppermint candies.. We'll see... Have a great day! ~tina
ReplyDeleteoohh awesome :)
ReplyDeleteHi! LOVE, love hearts. Such pretty pics of your project! Loving the bead idea and can't wait to see the finished garland. Just about all the jewelry I own has heart motifs. Hence the name of my blog. I've made some of Lally Lou-Lou's hearts, too & they are addicting! I just wasn't sure what to do with 'em. I'll think of something. Valentine's day will be here before we know it so that means I have to get hookin'.
ReplyDeleteI love hearts, I think I will do some in other than Valentines colours just to have around. A few years back I made some keyhole covers. They were little stuffed hearts decorated with buttons. They are old now so maybe time to make more
